The recent ATE@20's blog highlights the videos of STEM technicians with hearing loss that appear on the DeafTEC website. In addition to showing deaf and hard-of-hearing technicians describing their jobs in IT and manufacturing, as well as the paths they took to achieve that success, the videos also hope to disspell any myths people may have about deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals and their capabilities as STEM technicians. The blog also describes several other DeafTEC resources, including the Gary Blatto-Vallee's educational math videos, based on the Kahn academy modules, but accessible to deaf and hard-of-hearing students, but helpful practice for all students learning basic math concepts.
