Math Conference

The goal of DeafTEC: Technological Education Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students, a National Science Foundation Advanced Technological Education National Center of Excellence, is to successfully integrate more deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals into the workplace in highly-skilled STEM related technician jobs in which these individuals are currently under-represented and underutilized. DeafTEC is housed at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf, one of the nine colleges of the Rochester Institute of Technology.

The first DeafTEC Math Conference was hosted in 2017 with the goal of bringing teachers ranging from middle school to community college together to collaborate on strategies and resources for teaching mathematics to deaf and hard of hearing students.DeafTEC Math Conference
